Charged for a cancelled subscription 4 days after cancelling

You can try going straight through http://account.microsoft.com and see if it has the option to cancel and refund.

Otherwise, you can request a call back or chat with support at http://support.xbox.com/contact-us If you don't see those options, change your category/topic until you do. Billing & Subscriptions and "I don't recognize a charge" usually works for me.

If you were charged after you canceled your Xbox subscription, this likely indicates you had a pending balance for the current subscription time when you turned off recurring billing. If you canceled the subscription, you won't be charged again.

^thats like every subscription service. If you forget to cancel after the first free month they can charge you. That's just how they work. I set my calendar alarm for the day before it expires so I can cancel it.

If you cancel a subscription there will be no new charge for the next period and the service you canceled will be discontinued after your current payment runs out. There will be no refund.
