Charged early for gold

My gold subscription is set to renew on the 23rd of the month but Microsoft have taken the money today the 10th. So my question is why? It doesn't take 13 days to authorise. If it says the 23rd I would expect the money to leave my account on, just before
or just after the 23rd. Taking the money 13 days early is not on.

If you haven't done so already you may want to double check you purchase history at account.microsoft.com and make sure that is what you were charged for.

Xbox never charges early. Probably just caught up with your current cycle. Xbox accounts have two dates to keep in mind. A renewal/expiration date, which is based on when your membership was started, and a billing date, which is based on when your account
was created. You probably created your account on the 1st or 2nd of the month, but have it renewing on the 4th each month. If you trace your charges back to when you first bought it, I'll bet you paid on the 4th of some month, then there was no charge the
next month, and it's been billing the 2nd of every month after that.
