Charged after error

Yes. The first charge came up then the error displayed on screen then shortly after that the second charge showed up.

I just want a repair that I won't be charged for - and now after trawling through the forums this isn't the first time an update has caused an "open tray" error after it has been applied.

Have you tried to change your Gamertag after the error message? Did it still charge you?

And the problem went away just as mysteriously. I got home and The Swapper was working, and I was able to download and buy Lifeless Planet without a hitch. Not exactly the most confidence-inspiring series of events...

While I waited on a solution I decided to try buying Lifeless Planet. It also showed the generic "something went wrong" error -- and now my card has a pending charge for that as well, but Live doesn't think I've paid for it.

What a mess.
