Charge and Play Kit problem.

So, the Xbox Charge and Play Kit won't charge. The light doesn't come on or anything. It'll still act as a wired controller if I plug it in, but no charge. I tried putting the battery into my other controller, which I had yet to sync and update. After plugging
it in and syncing it, the controller was actually charging fine, but then I updated the controller and ended up with the same problem. For some reason the update stops the controller from charging. Is there a way to uninstall the update or something? I now
have literally no way to charge my controllers other than to buy another controller and not update it just so it can charge.

:)

Play and charge kit problem?
Well, it doesn't really charge the Rechargeable Battery, it over-charges it @ at a different V/I/R & causes damage to the controller at the same time, while reducing Battery Life of the Rechargeable Battery Pack...
No,
that's not how rechargeable batteries work. That's not how USB works.
The job of the charging circuit is to take the input power and feed it to rechargeable cells at an appropriate voltage and current.
USB power is 5v, 500ma to 900ma on a device, and up to 5A on a battery charging device. The voltage alone is not compatible with the cells, so right there we know there's something converting that to 2.4v. The current is variable for rechargeable batteries.
The thermistor in the pack provides shut-off if the cells begin to overheat during charging, so the current doesn't matter a whole lot.

My battery charger allows me to select the current I charge batteries at. This is a variable setting and determines how fast cells recharge.
Nowhere in the P&C documentation does it say it
MUST be used with a console. USB ports are standardized. This doesn't change when moving from a console to a PC.
No, there is no risk other than when the thermistor or charging circuit is faulty.

4. Charge and Play Kit problem.

Hi there

Sorry about this experience This issue happens to be easy fix resolve. When plugung in the controller, lay it down. Plug in the cable and move it around until its solid orange. I have to use tape to hold the cable in place but this does work.

Ultimately, the cable and connector arent sturdy....

Unfortunately, the cable isn't the problem. I tried using it for my phone and it worked perfectly, no wiggling needed. The controller charged before being updated and wouldn't charge after being updated. No cable will charge the battery on an updated controller.

Issues with Play and Charge Kits

Honestly the play and charge kits always have problems like that. It has to do with mixing and matching different batches/ generation of battery kits with charge kits and controllers. Personally I've stop using the play and charge all together and now primarily
use the charging kit that can charge 2 battery packs at a time. Have yet to have problems with mine and its been 2 years.

Xbox Play and charge kit says its charged in Windows but disconnects after a few seconds

You don't seem to have understood my problem.

It works fine with the cable but it doesn't work wirelessly. The controller disconnects when trying to connect it wirelessly with the play and charge kit battery. Wireless with AA batteries is fine, Wired with the charge kit is fine. Wireless
with the play and charge kit battery doesn't work.

I have the wireless adapter and I am trying to connect it wirelessly to my Xbox controller with the play and charge kit battery, that
is my problem.
