character migration?

I know that bungie said they are working on being able to migrate your character from the 360 to the one. but the way the companion app, and the bungie web site are seem to be working with my ps3 character makes me think that it can save your character online
for use with what ever console you log into. since bungie is still keeping information about the game quiet its hard to find anything about it. this is the only thing I found on migrating characters in destiny

It really just depends on your preference. I dont really know if there is a best one to be. I've seen different playthroughs and saw a variety of different builds. My first game I put my skills high in strength and endurance so I could use heavy weapons
and armor. But I got bored of that after a while and started a new game and went with a mage character...been having fun ever since.

If it's your first time playing the franchise, I'd go with Pyromancer. Has good starting melee skills, enough dex to use a bow, and has 8 fireballs as a starting spell. Get your strength to 16 and then use the bow to shoot the tail of the first dragon
you meet (you can't miss him) - this will give you the drake sword, an awesome sword that will carry you for the first half of the game. Make sure to spend souls on upgrades for your pyro flame, shield, and some spells, NOT just leveling. These will really
help you alot. Fire Orb, and Combustion are good spells to have for the early game. Hope that helps.

 

My guess is you can only transfer from 360 to xbox 1 or ps3 to ps4 like it is in COD.

I don't think Sony and Microsoft will allow cross platform transfers as they want people to upgrade to their own consoles and not to competitors

 

I found this out in the beta, your character is saved on the cloud. any progress you make is saved so if you start the game on the 360 you can jump to the exact point you leave off if you jump on to an xbox one. its nice because its instant, and you can
jump back and forth between consoles to stack achievements with out having to start the game a second time.

 

From my understanding when I searched it, your character can migrate either from Xbox 360 to Xbox One and vice versa. The only other ? for me concerns the preorder bonuses, as to whether or not that content can/will carry over
too, seeings how if evevrything is saved to the cloud. Any idea on that?

I'm pretty certain that's false if Bungie themselves said they want it, and I'm pretty certain I read somewhere it might have it. Besides, reading forums could just as easily provide misleading information from person to person.
The only thing I'm wondering is if the preorder DLC will migrate, or if there's any different DLC in the Limited edition from the Ghost edition for that matter. So unless you can provide a url from Bungie's website themselves, not the forums, the migration
may be possible from XBox 360-One and with PlayStation 3-4. I believe your confusing is in regards with the beta progress, which I honestly wouldn't expect to carry over.

 

You can play with your characters on either. I made my Hunter on the Xbox One played a bit, then hopped onto the Xbox 360 and was able to use my hunter from the Xbox One.
