Channel changing and rewind/fastforward/etc hesitation

Recently received my xbox one from the Mountain Dew and Doritos promotion, so yay there!

Now the problem is, when I have the cable box, directv, connected through the xbox one, it takes 2-5 seconds before the channel changes and other functions. Its connected by a Genie Mini.

Ex. I would press channel up, the screen turns black and 2-5 seconds later the top menu from directv and the video on the channel appears. Or if I try to rewind what I'm watching, it freezes for about the same time and then proceeds to catch up to how far
it rewound. I already did the IR delay settings but every button works fast but the video seems to be the problem.

I'm using a Genie Mini as the cable box.

Best Cable/Sat box UI for OneGuide

Comcast isn't too bad. What is annoying is I get the Xbox One ribbon over the channel bar from Comcast. I think the pause, fastforward/rewind bar would have been better on the side or top.

 

XB1 can't change OTA channels on Win8 Media Center PC

My windows 8.1 PC with media center has an OTA tuner. Live TV and even pause/rewind/fastforward of TV works great through the Xbox One. However, the XB1 can't change the channels of my media center. The OneGuide shows the correct channel numbers like 2.1
and 7.2, etc. However, every time I try to have the xbox change the channel it only seems to send the first number to the PC. For example, 2 gets sent instead of 2.1.

I have the Cablebox device setup as Media Center PC and the guide data is OTA Denver (80030).

Any thoughts?
