Channel 36 faster than channel 48 on 5GHz?

I have done some tests on the 5GHz channel with my R7000. 3 times on channel 36 and 3 times on channel 48. On 36 I got an average downloads speeds of 70Mbs and 19Mbs upload. Then I tested on channel 48 and got an average of 50Mbs and 17Mbs upload. Nothing
other than the Xbox One was connected to the router, no one else in the area has a 5GHz device and no one is on any of the 5GHz channels apart for me.

Yeah I am having problems too, my channels are all 2 jumps ahead so instead of saying xbox "watch usa" on channel 36 it thinks its on channel 34...

change channels faster

Is there an option to set the xbox to press enter/ok after entering in the channel? I have 4 digit channels, most being 3 digits so when it enter 805 (fox) it has to wait 1-2 seconds before the channel changes. When using the Comcast remote we know to
enter 805 (Enter) to make it change faster.

Seems like a minimal thing, but when browsing channels it is quite annoying to wait, and will cause me to keep my Comcast remote around and not use voice for my TV which would be a huge disappointment.

still could be interference, the 5GHz frequency is used a lot in airports and government agencies, also other telecom companies, any access point with a hidden SSID or operating at a different channel width that also wouldn't show up on a regular wireless
scan.

just use the channel that provides the best performance and call it a day.

While I love controlling my TV through the Kinect and the oneguide, I found it easier to use my cable remote in the beginning until the xb1 learned my go to channels, then I could just tell it where to tune to and it would choose the right ones (HD not sd

I have a similar issue, my cable box requires you use 3 digits or hit enter/select after fewer digits, so it's either 061 or 61enter to go to channel 61. The xbox sends 61 just fine but I have to use the remote to either hit select or just dial it myself.

I would see how you get on, 5Ghz could get you faster speeds and help with interference if you have some and cannot resolve it by changing channels etc , but I wouldn't buy anything for now just see how you get on
