    Changing Xbox One Home Console


    Okay, I'm posting this under the account forum thing, even though I don't know if it's the correct forum or not, there is just too much to look through. Anyway, I changed my xbox one home console three times in 2016 and I know that I can't change it back
    myself. My very abusive ex-boyfriend is currently my xbox's home console and I really don't want anything to do with him anymore, so I was just wondering if there's a chance I could change my home console or if Microsoft could, I don't know. I've been looking
    for a way to email them privately, but I can't find anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    So, reading up about this, it seems the Xbox 360 DRM controls have changed now too, so either console you can change your home console every four months.

    You don't need any kind of kit, just go to Xbox.com for your 360, or in the Xbox One dashboard and change your home console.

    The one difference I identify between the two systems is the console license on the 360 assigns to the console the game is first downloaded to, whereas the One, it's whatever your home console is regardless of where you download it.

    Does this mean changing your home console automatically assigns the console licences to the new home console's console ID without the need of using the licence transfer tool?

    Also, does this mean if you download a game away from your designated home console, it still gives the licence to the home console's console ID and not the one you download it on that is not set as your home console?

    Be more concerned if he changes the Xbox One's home status at the friends house. After 3 changes of the consoles "Home" status being changed, you have to wait 1 year from the initial change to set it back to your Home console.

    What this does is give the friend access to all of the digital content on your Xbox One when the friends console is set to be the Home console.
