How to Change your Xbox LIVE account information

Overview

It is possible to change information associated with your Xbox LIVE account like your name, address, phone number or email address.

Note: You cannot change the country that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account. If you have moved to another country and you would like to access Xbox LIVE from there, you have to create a new Xbox LIVE account in your new location.

How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on Xbox.com

1) Go to My Account and Sign In with your Microsoft Account. (This is the email and password that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account).

2) Make the changes you want to your billings account information and then click Save.

How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on your console.

1) Sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

2) Proceed to Settings, and then select Account.

3) Select Your Information, and then go to Billing Information.

4) Sign In with your Microsoft account password.

5) Change your billing account information and then click Done.

In case you want to change the billing name on your Xbox LIVE account, go to Xbox.com

changing email address associated with xbox live profile

Im having problems changing my email address associated with my xbox live profile.

i spoke to someone last week about deleting and changing aliases on the microsoft account linked to my xbox live account.

On your xbox go to "account management" under "your information" you'll see "account security" click that and you'll see an option to change your microsoft account click that and follow the steps to change the email linked to your gamertag.

lol I got that UnveilingGold28, pretty clever. CommunistRanger, you can also modify your primary Microsoft Account alias by going to
Web Server's Default Page. Login with your email and password for your account and under the (primary alias) it should say "add or change aliases" click here, it may ask you to identify yourself
with a security code, if not just proceed to either create a new email address or add an existing. After you have done that just verify that e-mail by check your e-mail for a confirmation e-mail. Once you confirm you can set the new e-mail address as primary
alias. If you have issue changing it because your primary alias has not been verified, you can try going to
www.verifyme.microsoft.com click it will say to request your code sign-in, click "sign-in" and an option you may get will be to change your email if you no longer have access to the previous primary
email.

You will need to change the email address on the "dummy" account to something else, so that is becomes free to use with another account. Then you will be cable to change the email address on your main gamertag using this
email address.

To change the email address, go on your Xbox, select Account Management and then Windows LIVE ID.

If you want your old email address on your new account try following the steps on this page:

However, If I'm reading your question correctly you will need a third email to act as the go between. So you should do something like this

1)Create new email address

2)Change email address of old account to newly created email

3)Change email address of new account to the email you want to use.

Hello,

Please follow the instructions written here in order to change your gamertag. When you created the new account
you most likely went to Xbox.com (which automatically created another gamertag for you). What you want to do is make a new Microsoft account
here (make sure you verify the e-mail address by logging in afterwards), and then directly follow those instructions given on the link on the Xbox 360.

You will need to look under "Switch gamertag to a different Microsoft Account".
