Changing Xbox gt to my stream name

So i want to change my xbox GT from what it is now to my same name as my twitch, and Youtube, only problem is Its Natedog7797, and they consider it “already taken” due to the fact of someone has “Natedog” then xbox added #7797. The xbox gt isnt used at all and that account they assigned #7797 to is inactive and has a 0 gamerscore, 0 friends, 0 games played, ect, would there be anything i can do to claim this name?

You can still use it, but you'll be given another suffix to differentiate yourself from the person that already has it. Otherwise, there is no way to claim it as long as it is in use on the servers.

Can you be a bit more specific? What happens? Do you get any error messages?

If it says it's taken, then it's taken. It might also be from other Microsoft services such as Zune.

To live stream with a webcam:

Plug your USB webcam into your Xbox.

Allow your camera to be used for live streaming if you haven’t already:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide, go to System & profile > Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy > View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer and make
sure you can use video for communications.

In the guide, go to Capture & share > Live streaming > Camera options and check that your camera is set to On.

Open a live streaming provider app and follow the instructions for streaming.

Start your live stream.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to change the streaming resolution on Xbox. The streaming resolution is fixed to the output resolution of your screen.

Hi there

On fortnite the name can be set as the epic account names. I would suggest checking your epic account name and seeing about changing it to match there.

I thought that whatever your xbox GT is, that's what you have to have as your Fortnite display name. My GT was "CrazyGamer1213" and my display name was also that. However my epic name is "AKAsyk." I obviously made my GT when I was younger so it's a bit cringe.
So when I changed my GT to "KARMA," I expected the in-game display name to change- it didn't. Also when I click my home button it says my new GT right, but doesn't in fornite...
