Changing to a gmail account

Alright i apologize if this is lengthy or confusing but anyways i'm trying to change my @live.com email to a @gmail. Ive tried several things but is there an easy solution? i signed up my @gmail as a microsoft account. Then i heard that you had to add
it as an alias but now when i try to add it it says its taken because i think i signed up for it as a microsoft account. Not sure what to do from here so i was seeing if anyone knows. Thanks

Hey there FithBeast55! If you are unable to change your Microsoft Account email online you may be in a 30 day wait period. This can sometimes happen when changing sensitive information on your account. Usually that provides a message about the wait.

However, note that you will have issues within the first 30 days of creating the email address, so you need to wait if it's newer than that. Also if you download the account to any Xbox 360 console, the 30-day timer is reset to zero.

so this works with gmail accounts? I tried this but it didn't seem to work, I did just register the gmail account as a Microsoft account so will I have to wait? I made the gmail account a few months ago

You can change to Gmail if you go to
http://signup.live.com and create a new Microsoft Account with the gmail, then change the Microsoft Account on the console unser Settings | Account | Account Security | Change Windows Live ID

Thanks for the tip, i restarted my pc and checked if i the right account is connected or not. the gaming account is correct, but the store account isnt (it is @outlook, should be @gmail tho). When i click on it to change this, i get redirected to my actual
account (@gmail), so I cant change it

My account got hacked they changed everything gmail address all the information and i can't get access to the account because i lost my recovery code but i can show u proof that i made the account and that the information was changed to other gmail in private dms.
