    I cannot change my region to Latvia. Tried a week ago and still receiving the following error:

    Sign in to your Microsoft account

    It appears you have found a glitch in the system.

    Changing the account region ????

    I recently bought an xbox 360 and in the setup process I created an xbox live account, however the account region was created with a US region and I live in Canada. I can't setup the billing information for XBOX live gold because I can't change the region
    to Canada !!!

    Is there a way to change the default US region on your account ?

    I am Turkish but I live in Romania. From what I know microsoft has so many Romanian programmers, I really don't get why Romania is not in the region list. So what am I spouse to do?

    Changing the region

    Try deleting your account an recovering it then try changing the region. By recovering your account could take out the glitches that is preventing you from being able to change the region

    FYI Latvia is not a live supported region so that is also why you are possibly getting that error when you try to migrate.

    Thanks, guys. I've tried to create a new account and still got this error when I tried to go to billing section.

    If Latvia is not among the supported regions, then it is weird, why it is in the list (when showing full list) at all.

    I had to change the region so that I can buy games online with my Latvian credit card. It seems like it is impossible...

    it may be one of the things you can set the webpage to but Latvia is not on the list of supported regions, here is the full list:

    Ms points are region locked to the region they were purchased in

    Government regulations do apply its copyright and distibution rights

    What is allowed in the us is not nessarily allowed in uk or Canada

    Like Netflix us is not allowed in Canada due to the CRTC requirements

    Nor is us films in Netflix allowed in uk due to distibution rights you need uk Netflix

    Gold isn't region free just like Microsoft points aren't.

    It is split up into sections, North America (so the OP should be able to use a USA Gold on a Canadian account), Europe (I have a UK account but lived in Sweden for 6 years and used my UK account nomally. Now I live in the USA and Microsoft have all but blocked
    my account from buying anything because they won't even let me add UK points anymore so I have a 6 year old account, 100k+ GamerScore, thousands of GBP worth of DLC invested in it and because Microsoft won't allow you to change region on your account it is
    now next to useless. Starting a new account is NOT an option when you spent so much money on DLC when Microsoft clearly CAN allow region changes like they did with the new territories that the OP mentioned.) and Asia.

    i know how to get your account back all u gotta do is delete ur account off of your xbox and then click recover gamertag and delete profile only and then you got your account back.
