Changing the Microsoft Account associated with my gamertag gives an unrecognised error.

Hi,

I am trying to change the email address associated with my Gamertag to one which I use for all of my other Microsoft services such as Skydrive, Office et cetera. However, upon going through the procedure here Error 0x8015402d | Microsoft Account Error | Xbox 360 Error,
I get the error message "8016FE6D". The error code database has no information on this. I am advised to "try again later", however even after waiting for a long time (over a day) I get no different response. Having chatted to a community ambassador and having
been advised to unplug the console, I got a different error code, 8015D080, which had steps to be resolved (changing some security information etc.) However, having followed the steps there I am back to the original error code I started with. Any advice as
to how I can procede?

I'm not interested in changing my mail. My question is about changing the microsoft account associated with my gamertag on xbox live. I wan't to associate my sons microsoft account with the gamertage on my Microsoft account. But thanks anyways...

 

My email is old and dont exist

Delete the account, then use your current email and password to recover it. Then , try changing the password (If that doesnt work , email swapping won't)

Sorry, delete which account? The one I want to switch to, or the one I'm switching from? Just so I don't accidentally balls up and delete the wrong one...
