Changing the language

Hi, i downloaded a few gold games and some i paid for, but a have a problem where the language in the games is wrong.

They are in french and not in english and can't find a language option to change it.

Can someone please help me?

Changing languages

I have a similar issue - bought an xbox in spain, set it up in english language initially, with spain as the local.

Have changed the local to UK and yet the main menu is still in spanish.

The migration options are useless as there is not one that is in english - and vendors of forza 4 claim the game is only in spanish!

Do i now have a useless console that is not in my language? or, is there a workaround? There does not seem to be a straight forward answer on the forums, microsoft, or anywhere for that matter.

fyi it is not recommended you select a region you don't actually live in

also you can only select the offically supported languages in your region

if i remeber correctly it is DUTCH and french

only console content will be set by trhe locale of your console

but online content is affected by the offical supported languages

Some games have an option in the main menu to change the language, but not all. The language is usually determined by your region is what the developers would have made available.

And your account region must reflect your actual region for 360 games most of them anyways that are game with gold

So selecting an English region won't work unless you actually live there

That's not changing your region or language. That's your locale on your console. The only way to change the account region language would be by going to the link I gave you above and following the directions under Change your Xbox LIVE account language.
You followed the directions for Change your Xbox 360 console language.

The console language does not affect the language of the game it's only for family settings and WiFi settings if you use those two things. The Xbox LIVE account language is what's going to affect the language of the game and your account.

But as I said, ultimately it's up to the developer to make it so there are multiple language options from within the games menu. Without those two options available to you, you will not be able to change the language of a.) your account (if there's no preferred
language drop down) or b.) change the language of the game (if there's no settings to change the game language).

Hey,

On Xbox it's as simple as setting your Xbox's language on the language you want and it'd download some files to change it to said language. I assume it's the same on PC and thus give changing the display language a try.

Also some games have the option to change the language and subtitles in-game in the options menu, I suggest going through those first before changing the language of your PC.

The application's language is based on your computer's language. You will need to

change the language of your computer in order to change the language of the application.

it hasn't been fixed, we still cannot change the game language without changing the whole operative system language. Steam has an option to change each game's language, add that.

Hey Sahan, If you log onto your console under your gamertag, Go to the MyXbox menu (the one that has your avatar) go to the far right system settings tab, the first option is console settings, then the third down is language and locale. The first option
within this is language - if you go here you should be able to change it to English.
