Changing the language for email/SMS correspondence with Microsoft

I have the same issue.

I am in Singapore & my language setting is English.

I received email & SMS correspondence in Chinese!

What gives?!

Add another security proof you need two incase the email is compromised

sms or phone number works nicely if a change is made on your email proof your sms will receive a msg asking if that was you making the change

Hi, thanks for your response. I changed the display language and preferred language to English, but emails from Microsoft remain in the Korean language.

I believe I’ve found a makeshift solution- apparently I can change the account alias email address to mine and remove the old email belonging to my dad. Would this mean my Xbox profile corresponds to my Microsoft account email?

When you change the email associated with your Microsoft account, it will not delete the original email or any of its other corresponding data. Changing the email simply means that the email address linked to your Microsoft account will be updated to the new one you provide.

The original email account will remain independent and unaffected by this change. It will no longer be associated with your Xbox account, but it will still exist as a separate email account with its own data and functionality.
