Changing the email associated with my gamertag

I created a gamertag to play with some friends on windows 10. After signing in to my email and my microsoft account a number of times, the app continued to automatically sign in on a family members account. I didn't notice this however so my gamertag that
I created is associated with this account I am currently using. I am trying to find a way to move this gamertag to my microsoft account. In trying to fix it I might have made things worse by creating a gamertag with my microsoft account.
