    Changing sounds for XBox achievements on PC


    Is there a way, on Windows 10 and XBox game pass, to change the notification sound when popping achievements? I see and hear the old sound but I like the new rare achievement pop sound on the actual XBox. I downloaded the WAV file and went into my Windows
    Sound Control Panel and changed it for "notifications" but it still plays the old sound in the games. Is there some other setting in the XBox app or somewhere else in Windows to change it?

    I have tried and failed cannot be done.

    its part of the xbox apps not windows itself, even reg editing does not help.

    Myself, i would change the "notification" sounds - For example, the sound when a friend comes online it would be different from an achievement ( like a knock on the door) and when you get a message that could sound like a phone ringing, But the achievement
    itself would stay the same.

    Fortnite is launched through Epic Games Launcher so it's in it's own ecosystem and Epic currently doesn't have achievements. Xbox doesn't track achievements for Fortnite on PC unless that's something that was recently changed.

    The only devices that can produce the "achievement unlocked" sound are the Xbox (but if you have unplugged it can't emit any sound), the PC (if on and online) and your smartphone (if you have the xbox app with your account linked). No device is connected
    when you hear the sound?
