  1. changing security settings and then sign in errors.

I just recently went on Microsofts website and signed in just to check out how & where to change my gamertag but to do that I had to sign in and something happend, it wanted to send a confirmation code to my cell or e-mail. I noticed that the phone number
registered was my old one so i updated it and requested that the sign in code would be sent to my current number. It went well and I got the security annotation that says something like "the actual change in your security settings will happen in 30 days" so
I decided to wait with renaming my GT but now when I try to sign in on my Xbox I just get that green circle-loading doodle and it just loads so I can't actually use my xbox do I really have to wait 30 days for my account to be "unlocked"?

    :)

  2. Signing in to every game, every time, since Update

    Hi GLFan2814,

Try going to the setting then, in the drop down side menu under account go and press a on "sign-in,security.." after go to "change my sign-in and security preferences and change it to no barriers.

Also there is an option under the sign-in,security and passkey setting where you can change the setting to instant sign in

    See if that helps.

    Happy Gaming!

Red Dead Redemption Error Message Help

    I fixed it.

Go to Xbox.com and find your security settings for your profile, then find "Xbox 360 Profile Protection" and set it to require the profile to redownload the profile every time you sign in (this will also sign you off of all 360 consoles you were previously signed into).

Since my 360 had been set up to automatically sign in, I'm thinking the Xbox One thought I was still signed in on my 360, and obviously you can't be signed in on multiple Xbox's on the same profile at the same time, so it flagged an error.

At least that's my guess. I also cleared my Xbox 360 local data and did a console restart.

Just follow those steps and it should hopefully be fixed.

Hi, you should be able to use your account as usual.

    support.xbox.com/.../update-security-information

The update takes 30 days, and during that time you can sign in on your consoles, but there will be certain things you can’t do with your account. Here's what to expect after you've updated your security information:

•The security information you chose to remove will be deleted in 30 days. During that time, we'll send notifications to the phone number or email address that's being removed, in case an attacker is attempting to remove your information.

•We'll send you a notification to let you know when your 30 days is over so you can add your new phone number or email address.

    •We can't expedite this process.

•You'll be able to continue using your console during the 30-day waiting period, but you won't be able to make changes to your password or use your account to make purchases online.

•You'll be unable to make security changes to your account or manage parental controls online.

If you can sign into Xbox.com ok using the email/password for your account it may be worth just waiting a few hours before attempting to sign in on the Xbox, in some cases removing and adding your account back to the Xbox can speed things up some.

    Disconnecting from xbox

Change your password and set a passcode to access your account, then clear your cache and delete your account. Redownload it to your Xbox and it should sign in normally. If the problem continues, it's likely someone is on your account. You will want to go
through the security steps found on the
    Password Error FAQ
. The FAQ shows steps to secure your account and fix password/sign in errors.

Can't redeem a code for Overwatch

    Hi there KassCheetham,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear about the issue with receiving family settings error message.

I suggest signing into the Microsoft Account to
troubleshoot changing online safety or privacy settings on Xbox One
    .

If you're having trouble changing your privacy and online safety settings on your Xbox One console, check to make sure you've done the following:

    • You're signed in to Xbox Live. You must be online and signed in to make changes.
    • You’re signed in to the console using an adult account. Children and teens are restricted from making changes to their own privacy and online safety settings.
    • If you receive an error message when you try to change your privacy settings, search for the error using the

      Error Code Lookup Tool
      .

Hope this helps. Let us know the results?
