Changing profiles home xbox

I've had two xbox ones for a while and one after one they died, now I cant make my new xbox my home xbox.

This problem was answered in this post (http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_support/xbox_one_support/f/4269/t/1767094.aspx) but the actual answer was deleted by a mod.

Can someone please message me what I supposed to ask MS, because I've called and sat on the phone with their "help", but after being on the phone for 50+ mins I'm very frustrated.

if you remove your friends profile and make it back to your profile on your home console do you lose your friends games? does their profile always have to be on your xbox as home console to be able to play their games?

Quite sure once he setsup the new profile and makes it that profiles home console his other console will just be in limbo instead of having that system as its. I think that's correct, no?Click to expand... Yeah I think your right, only one Xbox can be tied to a home Xbox. So if the OP makes his/her own gamer tag the home profile on his Xbox then the previous owners should be removedClick to expand...

I'm sure if you explain to the agent that you were unaware of the three time a year limit, which most people are unaware of, he'll give you a one time reset. I've been using Xbox one since day one and honestly I've only heard of the limit as of yesterday.
I'm sure most people out there are unaware. There really should be some sort of warning when you reset the home console.

Go into your account profile / gamertag,

then select my profile

then select customise profile,

then select change colour.

My XBox is set as the home Xbox for both of us. How would changing his Console to the home XBox for my profile fix it? Wouldn't that still have the issue of only one being able to be online at any given time?

Or are you saying his profile needs to have the other XBox as his home XBox while my profile keeps the other as my Home XBox?
