I changed player tag in application Xbox for windows 10 but player tag in game Minecraft for Windows 10 has not changed. How can I change player tag in game Minecraft for Windows 10?

Looked through some of the help articles - man the information is confusing.

Anyways from what I'm inferring from the posts is that you can play Windows 10 to Windows 10, and Pocket Edition to Windows 10 and that's it right now.

I have problem... I activate my code for minecraft windows 10 version and i can't play this minecraft on my xbox one s,, he told me i must buy this game. Minecraft Windows 10 is not compatible with xbox one version?

Hi! While I personally don't play Minecraft and therefore can't tell for sure, most games simply use your gamertag. If that's the case for Minecraft as well, you would have to change your gamertag in order to change your ingame name.

Are you wanting to change your gamertag? You should be able to change it but there will be a charge if you don't have a system generated tag.

Could you please explain exactly what you mean by saying Windows Player Tag, do you mean you Xbox gamer tag?

For the Xbox gamer tag, you get a system generated on at first then you have the option to change it to whatever name you wants for free. The free gamer tag change can only be done once on your account, if you try to change it again you will have to pay.
