    Changing my XboxLive ID


    Hi,

    I have to pay for changing the name of my XboxLive ID, but before I never changed the name.

    I've read that the first time was for free, what can I do?

    Xboxlive - Windows Live ID

    First I had an Xboxlive ID

    Then I bought a Windows Phone, when I enabled the Xbox application on the phone it created a random (new) Xboxlive ID which became associated with my existing Windowlive ID.

    I want to associate my real Xboxlive ID to my Windowlive ID but when I attempt to do it on my Xbox360 console, I get the error "The Windows Live ID you're switching to is already linked to another Xbox Live account" (the other Xbox Live account is the random
    one just created).



    How do I disassociate the new (bogus) Xbox Live ID from my Windows Live ID? I just want to delete it all together. This ID, "" is the one I am trying to get rid of

    Help! My live ID was put in incorrectly. To change my live ID, i need to enter my old ID's password. I entered the password incorrectly the first time, so now i can't sign in to a real account. Is there anything I can do?

    If your original gamertag was automatically created at signup, a gamertag change is free for one time.

    If you set up a custom gamertag at signup, a gamertag change will cost money.

    Tried to login to XBOXLive but the password didn't work. Tried to change the password, but the thing keeps trying to make me change my WindowsLive password instead.

    Ok so I can login with my Windows Live id and pass, but I stil can't change my Xboxlive pass. I didn't need to recover my account, I just needed to change the pass for xboxlive, which it steadfastly refuses to allow for some reason.

    Hi,

    If I understand your question correctly, you want your XboxLIVE Avatar to show up on your Windows Phone?

    If your XboxLIVE GamerTag is attached to the Windows LIVE ID you used to setup your Windows Phone it should show up under the XboxLIVE Tile on your phone. I hope that answers your question.
