Changing my subscription from yearly to monthly?

How the hell do i do it? i know they like to make it hard for you to change anything once they

have your details and get you locked in, but i need to change some things.

im looking to move from the 40quid yearly to 6 quid a month gold subscritption, but it just keeps telling me to update

my payment methods, but that will have them take 40 instead of letting me change it to 6?

i let the subscription lapse last month, and want it back now, but dont want to pay 40 right now, maybe at a later date.

please help.

It was caused by changing to yearly subscription instead of monthly

Changing Payment Method for XBOX Live Gold Membership

I am currently paying monthly and wish to update to a yearly subscription, but when I try to change it the site prompts me to update my subscription rather than purchasing a new one. I can only find one way of changing it and that is the message it gives
me. Changing the billing and payment methods only give the options to change credit cards or addresses, not the actual payment. I have no problem cancelling my currently subscription and paying the $79.95 for the yearly, but I can't even do that. All help
and support options tell me to change the subscription but I am not getting that option.

If you wantto et this sorted the quicker way you should call up Xbox on 0800 587 1102 and go to the Billing option. When you get through to them tell them what changes you want to your account and they'll do it in a flash!

Before accessing your account they will need to verify your account with a security code, remember to have it to hand when they send that code across.

And just enter in chat, they might be able to solve it if the phone option is out of hours.

I just wanted to chime in here with some math. First off, if you wish to make the change then you're entirely in your rights to do so. However, you are aware that if you change your service to a monthly one that you will be paying 32 quid per year more,
correct?

 

I'd like to additionally add in response to onyx62is that some people cannot afford to pay outright charge of £39.99 a year because of upcoming bills, and expenses to live. Which is why some people choose pay £5.99 a month which even though does work out
more expensive in the long run, it's more financially managable for them, and to still enjoy the Xbox LIVE experience, which is probably the whole reason to wanting to pay on a monthly basis.
