Changing my home Xbox

I have been using this as my home Xbox but for the last month it's been changing a few times and now I can't change it back also why is this a feature

If you don't have another console you can change it to, then you would need to try contacting support. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or Contact Us | Xbox Support

Changing my Home Console

I need to take off an old Xbox One Console that is stating it is my Home console, when in fact it is not.

I really need it taken off because the person who owns that console would have access to my information and may financially do harm to me.

I can not remove that console from my devices until I change the home status.

You can only change your Home setting 3 times a year. If you've already used them 3 times, you can try contacting support to see if they can reset your limit, but it is not guaranteed. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or Contact Us | Xbox Support

When you ask why is this a feature, are you asking about the Home setting itself or the limit?

The fault seems to be coming from the other account (not yours) maybe he is gamesharing with someone else. We suggest reaching out to him/her and have them possibly reset their counter by

As support stated, the account holder would need to contact support. They would need to click no, thanks to the virtual assistance in order to be given the options to contact support either by chat or by requesting a call back.

You should probably discuss this with your friend first to see if they have assigned another Xbox One console as there home device and possibly also changed there account login details as well.
