hello,

My gamertag used to be wifeymcbeateey, you guys deemed my gamertag offensive and changed it to . i tried to change it to something else as the saltycolt gamertag was chosen for me without my permission and was a randomly generated. I tried
to change it to something else of my choosing but it said it was gonna charge me 9.99. so can i have my old gamertag back? Or at the very least can i change it to something else but of my choice? I think its ridiculous to try and charge me 9.99 to change
a gamertag that sounds like a gay horse. i await your response. thank you

Thinking of changing my gamertag. HELP!!!

I have had the same embarrassing Gamertag since I was like 8 back in 2006. Now I finally am thinking of changing it to seem cooler or more "professional".
Some Ideas I have
-Atsrobadgr (I use this on a few websites)
-rainbowtanuki (I'm gay and I like Japanese racoon dogs)

That's all I have! I hate my current Gamertag and I don't want to use my real name and I don't want those names with X's and numbers and things that make it look weird.Click to expand...

Well, if you want something more professional, I don't think either fit the bill. Perhaps professional isn't what you meant. But out of the two Astrobadgr is the better name, IMO.

Since your old gamertag violated the code of conduct, it's not possible to have that one back. You will have to pay to change your gamertaag. There is no way to get a free change.

Forced Gamertag change

When a forced Gamertag change (name change) is imposed, the system will automatically pick a new Gamertag for the user. A forced Gamertag change is imposed when a Gamertag is determined to be inappropriate by the Xbox Live Policy & Enforcement Team.

Xbox stores, where you can use your money to pick up your favorite Xbox One and Xbox 360 games, Avatar props and more but in your case your going to want to purchase a new
Gamer-tag from the local currency deposited into your Microsoft account.

I'm trying to change my classic gamertag which is the one you see in games. My classic gamertag got changed and my Xbox One and Xbox App gamertag stayed the same (the Xbox One gamertag is the ones they added with the new gamertag system).

My Xbox One gamertag is different to my in-game gamertag and I want my classic gamertag to be changed. You can only change your classic gamertag on the Xbox One console, I have tried using the other ways and you can only change your Xbox Gamertag, not your
classic gamertag.

The reason I want to change my classic gamertag is that the classic gamertag can be fifteen characters and the Xbox One gamertag can only be 12 characters. If I use the other ways to change my gamertag it limits me to 12 characters and sets both my gamertags
to that.

On xbox.com it says my gamertag is what i changed it to. But on xbox it shows my changed gamertag in games, but when i go to my profile it shows my old gamertag and right under it it shows the gamertag i did change it to.

Yes, changing the gamertag again should be possible, als changing back to your previous Gamertag is possible, as long as your original Gamertag isn't already taken by somebody else.

Keep in mind each change will require a payment.
