changing mac numbers on xbox one

You need to block it at your router level. Block both the console MAC as well as thr xbox live servers during your blocked hours. You need to block the login IP for Xbox Live dueing those hours on the router. Your ISP should be able to help tou with this,
i dont know wxactly what that IP is, but it should solve your issue.

This may either be an issue between your internet service provider and Xbox Live, or a conflict with your MAC address for your Xbox 360. I have seen this fix help a couple of other users, it involves finding and changing your MAC address to an alternate
one. It should clear up the DNS:

Put In your alternate Mac addres via network settings in the dashboard:

1) To find your MAC address or physical address you must have Internet to your computer. Go to command prompt, type in ipconfig /all

2) Look for your connection and copy down you physical (MAC) address and your DNS server numbers, which should be 2 rows of numbers. One for primary and one for secondary.

3) Reset your modem and plug your Xbox back into it (or connect via your wireless network), manually put your DNS numbers in, then go to advanced settings and put in your alternate MAC address that you copied down earlier.

If this doesn't work, you may want to try speaking with your internet service provider, just to be safe.

I'm entering the MAC number suggested when the Live connection test fails. It just says this devices MAC number is:.... so maybe its the xbox's? Where would I find the router's? It just seems weird that I've never had to do this before, and where I'm entering
the MAC number it is adding my xbox's IP and MAC number to the "DHCP Reservation Lease" list, is that the correct place?

Microsoft Locked the wireless alternate mac address on the new xbox one s , this means if you have to manually input the wireless mac address you cant, even if you manually input the wireless alternate mac address it wont take after the console restarts..this
is bad new gamers, you been warned...if you need to manually enter your alternate mac address then dont buy a new xbox one s.

also noted that every game console lets you change the wireless mac address, even the original xbox one lets you change the alternate mac address to the one you need to use...but the new xbox one s locked us out in changing the wireless mac address manually
