Changing log in email

I want to change my primary email that I use to sign in to Microsoft and xbox. As far as I know to change your log in email you change the email on the alias.

But what I really need to know first is, would it effect my game saves, gamer score etc on my xbox because I don't want to lose anything on my account.

First, welcome to the Xbox community. You won't lose your stuff, as long as you don't remove the main email from the account, as this would delete your email along with the things you have in it, before trying anything, I suggest reading the article below.

NOTE: If you are going to do this do not remove the main email from the account as this would cause you to lose everything linked to that email.

Yes, as I said just don't remove the main email as all your purchases are linked to it.

So if I make the new email the primary but still keep the old email in the alias list everything will stay the same apart from having to use the new email to log in?

If the email was changed you won't be able to see it on the Microsoft store app as the app would log out after the change and you would need to use the new email to log back in

The only way to know the email was changed it's trough the email notification in your email
