Changing language of german 360 retail games on XBox One

Hello,

I recently bought an XBox One S and want to play some old 360 games on it with the english voice actors.

So far I tried Halo Reach, but the thing is that I live in germany and I have the german retail version of the game.

I set the consoles language to english (UK version) and the region to UK, even reinstalled the game afterwards, but Halo Reach sticks with the german voice actors.

Now my first question is if there is any way I can play my german retail version in english.

Second question would be if I buy Halo Reach in the XBox One Store, will it install the language based on the consoles settings so that I can switch between languages by changing settings?

Back to the Future: The Game - 30th Anniversary Edition

On Xbox 360 "Back to the Future: The Game" was on a lot of languages.

Are there other languages on Xbox One in "Back to the Future: The Game - 30th Anniversary Edition"?

Maybe: German or Russian?

 

Purchasing International Download Code

I'd like to purchase a German Skyrim download code through Ebay but I am unsure whether it will work on my system. My Live account's region code is set to Australia (where I currently reside) and I was unsure if this would affect my ability to activate and
download the game.

I am wanting to play the game in the German language but understand that there is currently no option for changing the language to German on the Xbox 360 when purchasing the game here in Australia.

Anyone had any experience with regards to this?

Thanks for your post. The answer to this can vary, many game developers include multiple languages in preloaded in the game disc but others will only include the one it is sold as. It could be likely that the copy of Halo you're playing only supports German
since it was sold as a German copy.

thanks for your answer. It really seems to be an issue of my retail version of Halo Reach, because when I tried my german retail version of Gears of War 3 it used english voices just fine.

 

Nope because with digital xbox 360 games the account region plus actual region plus account language has to match since region independence is only an xbox one feature

Your only option would be disks with multiple language packs

Or just order a uk copy

 

Okay, thank you. Another question: Can you change the language in the german retail versions of Master Chief Collection and Halo 5? Or do I have to buy UK versions of those as well to get english voices? Also if I buy the ODST-DLC for the Master Chief
Collection in the german store, can I use it with all retail versions / languages?
