Changing Gamertag email

Discus and support Changing Gamertag email in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have gone everywhere and haven't found any help yet so I decided to post here, how does one change their gamertags email?     Changing Gamertag email


    I have gone everywhere and haven't found any help yet so I decided to post here, how does one change their gamertags email? I tried changing the alias on one of my accounts, and apparently it was deleted after doing so. So I wont be doing that again. I have
    spent most of my day trying to accomplish this, when it seemed incredibly easy at first. Any help would be much appreciated..

    Can you sign in Xbox live with a different E-mail account?

    yeah just create a new email address, go to xbox.com and change the email associated with your gamertag. heres the lnk for you.

    Xbox one followers privacy/spam concerns. END IT

    Even if you change your Gamertag, you purchases and saves are still locked to your account. I could change my gamertag right now and I still have everything. It stays with the email address you signed up with, not gamertag.

    The best way to change your email associated with your GT is to go to
    http://account.live.com     set up an alias and make it the primary alias on your account. This will allow you to sign in with a new email address

    x24hrs2livex That is what I did in the first place, not only did it not do anything it deleted one of my emails.

    Sorry, but you will have to create a new dummy email address to shift to the new account so you can free up the one you want to use.

    I've been trying this for a while on a number of live accounts only for a message to appear stating "The email address associated with your Microsoft account can't be changed". So please post back with your outcome.

    Hello there!



    Yes, there is! First of all, once you have signed in, go to 'My account' In the top right. Then scroll down a little bit till you see 'Contact Preferences' on the lower right side, click that. Now, where your email is shown, type the email you wish to have
    and click 'save'



    I will also guide you on how to do this on the console (just for future reference or for other users who may be curious viewing this post)



    1.) Sign in to the account you wish to alter, then press the middle silver button on your controller

    2.) Press RB twice!

    3.) Go down, and select 'account management'

    4.) Go across twice, and select 'Account security'

    5.) Select 'Change Microsoft account'

    6.) Select Yes, enter the password for the email address shown (that is assigned to that account)

    7.) Enter the email address you wish to change it to, and enter the password for that email address.
