Changing gamer tag between accounts

Hello,

I want to change my gamer tag from an old account to a new account because I don’t know the email or password of the account I want to change it from as I created it a long time ago. I made a new account to transfer the name to.

Evidence that I own the account with the username I want is that the account hasn’t been touched; it has no games on it or other sort of activity.

Can this be done?

Help with changing gamer tag

i want to change my gt to TidalSnow but someone else has already got it and I don't want to replace one of the letters with numbers so if someone could suggest how I change it up a bit to use it that'd be great.

I've tried it with a space between as Tidal Snow but someone's got that too.

You will need full access to the old account in order to get the gamertag you want. OR you will have to wait a few years until the GT expires. (that started June 2016)

Hellfire IRL

You can not transfer 'Premium' between gamer tags, you can not transfer 'Gold' between gamer tags. You can however play Premium content with another gamer tag on the same console (so have both accounts on the same xbox and job done).

HAZMAT RADIO

Gamer tags are tied to accounts and can only be changed when you go through the process to change the gamer tag. No one can give you a gamer tag to assign to another account.

So, neither you or as you stated, "people threating to take the tag as soon as it is chnaged" can take that gamer tag.

The gamer tag won't be made available right away if you change the gamer tag on that original account.

I think the solution here is to change your gamer tag if possible you can't move digital content between more than 2 accounts hope this helps
