    hi i have a problem with when i play BC games from last gen Xbox the achiements r unlocked but they r given to my old gamer-name i changed my gamer-tag for my xbox1 but how do i change the BC name hope this makes sense thanks

    Changing name

    Yep change the spelling

    Just because it says not valid doesnt mean anything

    There are windows and zunes and games for windows account that uses the same system

    You will just have to be creative

    Also spaces doesnt make a name different

    So when i go to send the gamer-tag i want a message it says that it is not in use. When i go to change my name to it, it says that the name is already in use. Anything i can do?

    When you load up a BC game does it say disconnected from xbox live?

    Try this also.

    1. Load up any BC game

    2. once loaded up hit the start and select buttons (small round buttons on either side of the big xbox button on the controller) at the same time. This will bring up the 360 guide.

    3. You should have a choice to download profile there click on it

    4. sign in with your email and password.

    Whenever you change your gamertag on your account you have to redownload your profile to any 360 this includes the emulator on the ONEs and the directions above are the only way to do this.

    For an official answer for why it was changed, you would need to post here -

    If it was changed because it violated the code of conduct then it is not possible to get it back.

    The gamertag system is an automated system and there is no manual review of gamertags. If the system is not letting you use this gamertag, unfortunately there is no way around it. I'm really sorry about this.

    Unauthorized Gamer Tag name change

    This forum is largely user based. You would have to continue working with phone support to try to get a refund.

    Support sends people here on the belief that the enforcement team will issue a forced name change and you will be given a free change, but that is not the case. The enforcement team does issue forced name changes, but you cannot contact them directly to
    get one and forced changes are now given a randomly generated tag.
