    Hi

    I bought Forza Horizon Three for my child but on his account. Is there a way I can move ownership of the game to my parent account? I believe he will still be able to play it as he sits underneath me.

    Hey there,



    I've been a member of xbox live for quite some time. I am 20 years old now, live on my own, and pay for my own xbox live.However, the account that I spend my time on is limited from most things that come with a gold membership since I signed up for the service
    as a child, it required approval from my father using his credit card, and his email and password (all of which I do not know, minus the email address).There are plenty of parental settings, marketplace blocks, and other things preventing me from using my
    account to the fullest.

    For example, I am unable to purchase things from the marketplace with an 'M' rating. I am unable to watch videos for games with an 'M' rating from my xbox. My gamercard does not show my recent games/achievements, etc.

    There is currently no way for my to remove these parental settings. I am unable to get the password for my fathers email, which is required to change any parental settings. My account will forever be a youth account.

    The obvious solution is to simply abandon the gamertag and simply make a new one. However, there's been years and years of time spent on this gamertag. Previous game saves, difficult achievements have been unlocked, and much more makes it a very difficult
    thing to do to abandon this gamertag.

    What can I do to remove all parental blocks from my account, since I am clearly not a child anymore, without getting the password to my fathers email?

    How do we change an adult account to a child account. We tried changing the birthdate, but it still says it is an adult account.

    Its not possible to change from an organizer (adult account) to a member (child account). Whether the account is an adult account or child account is dependent on the date of birth entered when the account was first created. The date of birth on the Xbox
    account cannot be changed either.

    Hey Xwarrior,

    Did this account graduate naturally from a child account to an adult account or was there a birthday change attempt? You can change the birthdate to the Microsoft account but it will not change the birthdate that was entered originally to the Xbox profile.

    In other words, a child account will remain a child account until it graduates naturally to an adult account. No way around it.

    So, if I understand, you account is an child account and you want to unlink your parent's account from yours? Unfortunately, child account are not allowed to be managed without and adult account attached, you can ask yours parent's (adult account owner)
    to contact support and ask for a change of adult account, re-alocating the child account to another MSA adult

    You cannot change the account created as an adult account down to a child account. It needed to be created as a child account from the get go.
