Changing Emails Help

I have been having major issues trying to change the email on my Xbox one profile. Some background: I have owned xbox for about 8 years and kept my old parents email. But now I wanted to change the old email to my email but it seems almost impossible to
do so. When I did so I even deleted the aliases and my email and my parents email name was unretrievable for 60 days which ruined a lot of personal issues even with calling Microsoft support. I use a Xbox one now and the name is under my parents name and I
just want it to have my name and email.

If anybody knows how to change Xbox live emails please let me know and thank you for your time!

Your digital content is tied to the profile that bought/downloaded them so you will still keep everything if you change the email address linked to your profile.

I want to keep the same Xbox Account (Gamertag) but just have it linked with a different email. Do all the digitally downloaded games transfer as well? I want to change from an old email to a new email, make it the primary one and remove the old ones.

Right now I have the new email setup as the primary alias and it gives me the option to remove the old ones.

Will removing the old emails also remove any digital games that were bought or will I still be able to access the games with the new email?

Also, both emails are Yahoo.

We need this information for us to see if you can change it independently or if changing email needs parental account confirmation. Thanks.

 

There are no parent controls on the account. It's an adult account.

 

You can change the actual aliases on
account.live.com/.../Manage You would need to login with your main microsoft account and then verify it. Once you do so; add a new email; and make it the primary alias. I HIGHLY suggest not completely removing the old email however.

 

Thank you for responding. Based off the link it is connected to my current account and email information which is my parents. Changing the alias does nothing to the xbox live information it is simply to receive emails which will then change my parents email
again and mess everything up. I need to know how to completely change all the xbox live information to a separate account email and everything so it is my personal information but it seems impossible to do so without making another account, in which case is
extremely redundant and unnecessary.

Log in as normal, then you will want to "Add an Email Alias", once you have added it, you will then want to make it your primary alias, by clicking "Make Primary". This will then make that email address your pirmary address for logging in, and will display
accross all your microsoft accounts.

Just to add, your microsoft alias is your xbox live login and vice versa, they are one and the same
