Changing email address for a xbox live child account "yep im 17"

can you actually say what the steps were please not just "i had to go through the steps" i am 17 but still have a *** child account so when i want to change my email associated to my gamertag xbox live profile it makes me sign in to my dads parent
account were there is no option to change my own email address only his.... what a *** joke...

How to Change your Xbox LIVE account information

Overview

It is possible to change information associated with your Xbox LIVE account like your name, address, phone number or email address.

Note: You cannot change the country that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account. If you have moved to another country and you would like to access Xbox LIVE from there, you have to create a new Xbox LIVE account in your new location.

1) Go to My Account and Sign In with your Microsoft Account. (This is the email and password that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account).

2) Make the changes you want to your billings account information and then click Save.

How to Join Xbox LIVE

If you decide to go for Gold Membership, you should have your credit card information ready before proceeding with the process of signing up for Xbox LIVE.

Steps to follow

1) On your controller, press Guide then select Join Xbox LIVE.

2) Follow the instructions on the screen on how to sign up for Xbox LIVE.

Note: Make sure that you enter your correct date of birth when signing up. This will be used to determine whether you get a child account or an adult account. Once the account is created, you cannot change the date of birth.

With the Xbox LIVE Gold Family Pack, your family is given four 12-month Gold Memberships for less than the price of two. If you are interested, just select Family Gold on the Subscription selection screen.

my dad doesnt even want anything do do with my xbox account and hasnt done for the last 6 years but yet its making me wait untill im 18 ....... what a *** take so yeah can anyone help me out to just change my email.... p.s the email account i want to link
it with already has an xbox account that was automatically created when i tried to do this last time called noisyarc22 and i have never used it and it wont even let me download the profile onto my xbox..... however my actual microsoft account now has the email
i want to change my xbox account to with the old one ... the one my xbox is currently attached to has been deleted yet it still makes me sign in with my old email which takes me to my xbox profile which takes me to my dads microsoft account as he is the parent
which then doesnt let me change my email. But when i sign into my own microsoft account which i can only assume isnt even connected to my xbox account which now has the correct email....... please can someone help microsoft is such a piece of *** sometimes
and there suppoesed to be the computer software experts.... i mean this would all be sorted if it just let my dad make my account the primary account linked to my own *** profile i mean seriously which i had lied about my age when i signed up for xbox live
on my xbox when i got it 7 years ago and then just bought the *** gold codes like everyone else so my dad wouldnt of even have to put his card on my account and he wouldnt of had to attach his account to my *** xbox...... i mean for *** sake all i want to
do is change my email address *** meee.......... I am seriously considering buying a ps4 just because of this issue instead of an xbox1.

It's not possible to change the date of birth or age on a
Xbox LIVE account under any circumstances. If you wish to correct the date of birth on an account you would need to make a
brand new account.
