    Hi! When my 9 year old son was setting up his Xbox one he put his own date of birth onto my Microsoft account. I've tried for hours to change it and spoken to the live chat support but i'm still non the wiser and getting increasingly frustrated! can anyone
    help? id be so grateful!!

    Is it possible to change your date of birth for your account? As when I was creating my account, i put a random date, and thought it was about right, but it really wasnt!!! Please can someone help me!!! Thanks

    You should be able to change the date of birth at
    http://account.live.com

    Keep in mind though that will only change the date of birth for the Microsoft account. If you're looking to change the date of birth of an Xbox account, that is not possible.

    its wont let me edit the date of birth on that link either?

    my child doesn't have an account, i need to change mine as it wont class me as an adult to grant him access to games!

    Hmm yeah, it may not let you since it thinks you are a child account and would need a parent account to change it. I didn't think about that.

    In this case I think the best option would be to create a new account. Once you create an adult account, you may be able to add your current account to its family and then that might allow you to change the date. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12417/microsoft-account-add-members-to-family

    I see! Sorry for the confusion. So what you need to do with your account is the Age Verification process: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...account-age-verification-for-parental-consent

    That should get your account reclassified as an adult to make the changes and management you are requesting.

    The date of birth on your xbox profile will always be set to the date of birth originally chosen when you created your account. Even if you change the date of birth on your associated Microsoft account.

    If you have account restrictions due to the false date of birth then changing the date of birth will not lift those restrictions.

    I am aware that the EA servers will only allow players of the age of 13 to play online. This is not the case, I have rung them and asked for my details and my age is 18 on there books. I am well aware of the problem. After chatting to a support agent yesterday
