Changing Avatars gender

I am needing to change the avatar on my account from a female to a male and its not wanting to update all the clothes and other items on that screen that pops up after choosing a avatar. Please help...I tried turning it off, and deleting my profile from
the xbox360.

Will DLC's be transferred?

I don't think Avatars are changing, just the gamerpics. I certainly don't remember hearing anything about avatars changing

It's not actually. Changing gender on the first class changes on all. You can either change gender then select your desired class or select the class then the gender. It's up to you.

Try editing your avatar on xbox.com. Login, click directly on your gamertag (Cwhited32), click "edit my avatar" button right below your avatar's feet on the left hand side, and then select "choose new avatar" button right below the my features button.

That's not really an option that I see. Like Im having the same problem and in will not load on the console so I came on here to see if it was an option but I no see it.

I ran into this same issue and eventually managed to solve it by disconnecting my Xbox from the Internet, making my new avatar, and then reconnecting. Going to the customize avatar screen again after the new one is in place and you're reconnected to Live
will result in the update screen popping up again, but it actually progressed this time and finished quickly, at least for me. Hopefully this works out for others; I haven't tried the other method that was suggested (doing it on the computer) but this may
be more convenient since it's all on the console.

Changing the information on windows live id will NOT effect your gamertag. However, I do not believe you have the option to select gender when creating your gamertag. Regardless, it would not effect your account. The only thing I can think of is the gender
of your avatar - which is for selfexpression... and the only restriction is gender has to match avatar items. But you can change the avatar gender.

Hey there Shy! The changing of your Avatar's gender is exactly the cause here. When you purchase some Avatar gear, it's for only one gender. If you change later, that content will not be available on the new Avatar. It will be there if you ever change back
though, so it's not gone forever.

Regarding your new Avatar, any items that are for both genders, like some props, will still work. You may have to repurchase some content to get the version for the proper gender. I hope this helps explain the situation. Let us know if you have any further

You could take this to the Wish List forum... Since the two genders' items are listed separately, they are separate purchases. (Let's assume that Microsoft is wanting you to pick the avatar gender that matches your actual gender, which changes for
few people.) At least some Avatar Awards give both genders' version when you unlock them.

I believe you actually have to delete your avatar and start over. Don't worry, all your purchased content will still be there, but if you change the gender of your avatar, any specific items to the other gender will no longer be usable.
