    Changing Aspect Ratio and/or Resolution


    I have an LG 34UM68-P 34-Inch 21:9 UltraWide Monitor and the aspect ratio of the monitor is 21:9 and the resolution is 2560x1080 and when I use my xbox one it seems stretch out. Is there any way to
    fix this? I tried the option “Calibrate HDTV” in the video settings and that doesn’t seem to work.

    All games are suddenly widescreen

    I am unsure what you mean by "widescreen" as all retail games--that I'm aware of--since the early 2000s have been in a 16:9 resolution because of the wide-spread adoption of televisions in that aspect ratio. 720p and 1080p both natively display at a 16:9
    aspect ratio. The only screen resolution that the Xbox 360 supports that is not at that aspect ratio is 480p which is in a 4:3 ratio.

    In the monitor settings there should be video options somewhere for 16:9, 21:9 or auto. You would have to pick 16:9. There will be black bars on the side but the image would be in it’s native ratio. You could also use the zoom setting to get rid of the
    bars but then you’d also be masking some of the play area.

    21:9 aspect ratio is currently not supported.

    You can only get 1920x1080 and set your TV to 16:9 and have black bars on the sides to avoid the stretching your TV will do to the 16:9 signal.

    Hey Raul! Thank you for posting your question. As our Ambassador mentioned, a 21:9 viewing area is not currently supported on the Xbox console. The quality is supported by the Xbox One X and One S but not that viewing area as it is capped at 16:9. Check

    Hi,

    Unfortunately, Xbox One S and X do not support 'Ultra Wide' display type resolutions with 21:9 aspect ratios. Unless this changes with a system update, your only option is Full HD 1920x1080 in 16:9 aspect ratio.
