Changing adult account to child account

My 12 year old sons account is set up as adult - I need to change this to a child account without losing any of his xbox history as this would send him into meltdown.

How do I do this?

How do we change an adult account to a child account. We tried changing the birthdate, but it still says it is an adult account.

Sign into the Family account with your account and remove the account of your son, and then send an invitation as a child account to your sons email. And he can join the FAMILY as a child.

Hey! This is a little tricky but you can do it 2 ways. You can add the profile to the family as a child but
ALL defaults for a 12 year olds account will be applied and has to be modified for specific games like Fortnite. Or you can just change the password on the account, so he does not know it, and then change the permissions as you see fit. Here's

You can change a child account to an adult account, but you can't change an adult account to a child account. In order to manage them, you would have to create new child accounts for them.

Is the account in question a child's or adult's account? If its a child account you may want to change it to an adult account and give it a shot.

I can't remember 100% but I am sure whoever set up the child account can change it. Like if you made an adult account on the xbox before making the child account that adult account can change wether the child account is a child account or and adult one.
I will just test this out myself now and post how it went

18. The best way to manage the child account is to
