Changing Accounts - Question.

If I change accounts, like to a whole new gamertag, will I still be able to keep my stuff from my old account since it's on my HDD?

I'm wanting to make a new account along with a new gamertag. Not just change my gamertag on my old account.

What happens to the stuff on my HDD? Will it be unusable with my new account?

Ex. My BF3 stats and unlocks. Will those be gone or will I still keep them since the account is associated with origin?

I sold my brother my Gears Xbox One S along with my external HDD which had all my games on it. He'll have to use my account to play, right? I'm wondering if he could change my account's gamertag and email and make it his own and when I get another Xbox, can I reclaim my Mosh1mo name if he changed the gamertag from that name? Sorry for the confusing questions. Just wondering what my options are. I'll probably have to start all over, huh?

It becomes available. Again though, you can just set the console as your home console. Then he can access the games from his own account and you'll still have the games for when you get a new console.

Nothing is transferable between accounts, that's a solid fact.

However, you may still be able to play downloaded games/DLC. The way that works is:

When a digital purchase is made, the rights to play it are tied to the console it was purchased on as well as the profile that purchased it. So then, as long as you're playing on the console that originally purchased the content, you will be able to play any
downloaded games/DLC with any profile you like.

If you ever want to change consoles, you'll need to perform a
License Transfer to the new console (using your old account) to be able to continue playing those downloaded games/DLC.

Just one thing i have a xbox 360 and a xbox one and basically i would like to give my 360 console to my daughter if i make her a profile on my 360 can she use my games on the 360 that are on the HD on the new profile if i delete my profile of the 360.

Any help would be grateful cheers Luke

 

Yes her profile should be able to use those games, as long as the licenses are on that console. And the console needs to be connected to the internet. See this link for the full detail on how licenses work:

Any profile on the console can use content as long as the licenses are on that console and the console is connected to xbox live
