changing account send code direction

Thanks for coming to the forums. This is a security measure that is in place. Reason is, lets say you didn't do the security change. It gives you up to 30 days to say hey I didn't do this. Note that people don't have access to email or phones daily i.e.
the military, or vacationers. So its put in place for all as a general wait time.

Gift cards are direct deposited into your account. They no longer send a code for those.

At your first attempt to sign in, you would tap the "change password" tab. It should send you a code to your email, and you will be directed to the correct page to change your password.

Do you know the current email and password for the account?

If so you can change the security proof on the account (where they want to send the verification code to) by signing into the account by going to account.live.com/addassocid this will ask to send a verification code if you click on that you do not have access
to where they want to send the verification code it will allow you to change where it is being sent to.

KEEP IN MIND:

Once you start the process to change the security proof it will take 30 days for the change to take affect. The ONLY way to stop that change is to gain access to the old security proof.

You will be locked out of the account for that 30 days but once that change takes affect you would be able to make any changes to the account including the email you use to sign into the account.

It was from Mojang, however they were unable to help and kept sending the same response of instructions on how to redeem the code. When I click redeem on my Mojang account, it directs me to the microsoft store which tells me the code has already been redeemed.
