Changing Account Associated with Old Xbox Account

I’ve been using an Xbox account since 2006 and since then I have used my Dad’s microsoft account (I was a young kid when I first got an xbox). Now I’m an adult and will be moving out soon etc and want my own account associated with my 14 year old gamertag.
Is it possible to move the gamertag to be associated with my own account and keep all the games, saves and purchases I have accumulated over the years?

It would be ridiculous if i had to access my Dad’s account each time or lose all of my purchases.

I know this has been asked before but I’m wondering if this simple feature has been added yet by microsoft. I surely can’t be the only one in this situation. I hope this is fixed as if this is not the case Xbox will have nothing special going for it for
the next gen as I don’t want to make a new GT and would be better off just moving to PSN.

Hi Joseph McGovern,

Currently, you can't move your services from one Microsoft account to another. This option may be available in the future.

Last step you can also try is to contact Microsoft billing support to see if they can do anything for you to adjust the account or change ownership of it but as stated above it may be limited what can be done. Hopefully something here can help you out and

Every xbox account is associated with its own email and password. Unless you have changed the gtag associated with your old account I see no reason why you can't log in with it.

Each 360 account can be associated with a Live account.

Currently I have:

old 360 account -> associated with my Live account but with the old gamertag

new 360 account -> associated with my Live account but with the new gamertag

The new account got created when I downloaded my profile using my microsoft sign in. The old account was associated with the same microsoft sign in but it didn't recognize my gamertag change. Now it won't let me sign in to live because it asks for my microsoft
sign in details. I'm guessing the sign in fails because it's trying to find the microsoft account associated with the old gamertag.

I either need to somehow transfer my saves over to the new 360 account so I can upload them to the cloud, or I need someway for my Xbox to realize that my gamertag changed on the old account so I can sign into live again with that account.

It was my first gamertag that I had on Xbox a couple of years ago I changed it I never stopped using the account so it wouldn’t be associated with an old account

That is not possible, if you have access to the old account you can change the email associated with it and change the type of account but if not I'm sorry but you can't transfer data between accounts.
