Changing a child account to adult

Hello!

I need a help with Microsoft accounts, the Family Resource and Xbox One!

I live in Brazil.

I am a software developer and a client requested a feature in Windows 10 to block certain applications. With this, I used two accounts that have to form a family and so test the Windows 10 family resource. The account "A" was set up as an adult and the "B"
account as a child, including a date of birth that results six years . I finished the test and gave feedback to the customer.

Now, I got an Xbox One and to get the gamertag that would, I used the "B" account to link Xbox One. This account "B" I I linked some cards I got along with the console. When I download some games, I received notification that the account was a child. So
I entered the account settings and unlinked settings Family. Removed the account "B" of the family account "A" and changed the birth date of the account "B" resulting in 38 years. Thus, there is no longer a set family, and the account "B" would be an adult
account.

But for the purposes of Xbox One, the bill is still being considered as a account child/adolescent. Twice I tried to solve this problem through the Microsoft chat. In the end, they directed me to open a question in this forum.

How do I unlink "definitely" the family settings between accounts, so that the account "B" is considered as an adult account?

I can not lose this account, because activated in the same bonuses that gained by purchasing the Xbox.

Adult to child Account

How do we change an adult account to a child account. We tried changing the birthdate, but it still says it is an adult account.

Changing the birthdate under the profile doesn't changes a child account into adult account

So, but I live in Brazil and when I edited the account settings of the Microsoft Web site allowed to change the birth date of the account.

But this change had no effect.

You know if you can download the Live from one account to the other? Because activated this account "B" cards that came with the Xbox One.

You can change the ms account all you want including another ms account it has no affect on the age of the account

Once set the age of an account is set is Stone

You will have to create another account for 360 purchases if that's the issue with the correct region settings

 

FYI changing the ms account onky makes it worse

Even if the new ms account is an "adult " account

You just made it a child to be controlled by the parental account on your xbox parental settings

 

This is part of the copa laws you agreed to when you signed up onto xbox live not to mentioned enforced

 

Did account "A" remove account "B" from THEIR Family settings at Microsoft.com under the account settings? My brother had the same problem. He is 18 and under my family settings, he is under a "child account" because initially he was under 18. I had to remove
him and add him again as an adult. When choosing to add a family member it asks if its a "child" or "adult". THE FAMILY settings does not take into consideration the age of the account holder, but how you categorize it under the Family settings. That will
affect all online aspects regardless if the account holder is of adult age. The only remedy is for the original adult, in your case, Adult "A" has to completely remove "Account B". I find it strange you removed yourself, since child accounts don't have an
option to do so on the family settings on Microsoft.com. This cannot be done on an Xbox console unless you're using the Edge Browser, not under the console's own Family Settings.

In my case I added my brother again, chose adult, and now his ms/xbox account is listed as an Adult. He can now play Fortnite and buy Game Pass subscription without asking for permission or being blocked access. In your case your
now adult account can be removed again so you and Person "A" are not considered a family under Microsoft's family settings. This does not affect if you're game sharing and setting up a different Home Console for Xbox One.

if you have an issue with an child account old post your own thread instead of trying to fill in outdated forum post the op moved on 2years ago and again it doesn't help him his original age was 6years old he cannot move till it's 18

And no it can't be chsnged
