changin language whidout being forced to change locale

Want my xbox one in english from any country i can get the stores language is the same of the locale it is in but not the whole consle games and kinect included

if is select english as language i only can choose the following countys: usa,uk,new zealand,ireland, canada and australia

SO WHAT ABOUT ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD THAT PREFER THERE GAMING EXPIRIENCE IN ENGLISH ABOUT 7OUT OF TEN GAMERS PREFER ENGLISH so all people who dont live in the countrys above cant enjoy their games and kinect in english or we have to change
it to one of those countrys like i do BUT THIS IS MY BIG PROBLEM CANT DOWNLOAD ANY DLC because i dont live in on of the countrys above

so you guyes at microsoft give me no other choice ten choose between ENGLISH CONSLE WIDOUT ANY MARKETPLACE CONTENT or CONSLE IN LANGUAGE OF THE COUNTRY YOU ARE LOKALIZED WITH MARKETPLACE CONTENT YOU CAN BUY WITH YOUR CURRENCY BUT NO OPTION TO CHANGE YOUR
SYSTEM,GAME,KINECT,ect LANGUAGE

please let us choose every supported language on whatever locale your consle is on

(i know the marketplace stayes the locale language) but we need to have the choice to set our games kinect and system language on what we prefer

iwant to change my language to english on my xbox one no matter on what locale store i am

as example if i lived in germany and my stores locale is set to germany everthing changes to german language but i want my games ,kinect ,system language,ect in english i dont speak german so see the problem here

i want to be on my own countrys store but wy restict us only to the languages that are spoken in my country

i can understand that the stores language is in the language of the stores locale but LET US CHANGE OUR CONSLES LANGUAGE TO WHATEVER WE WANT WHITOUT CHANGING THE COUNTRY

so people who move to an other country example USA citizen moves to France he changes locale to france the whole xbox language changes games incuded

so now he cant understand a thing annymore of his xbox that whats happening to me WANT MY XBOX IN ENGLISH AND WHIDOUT TOUCHING THE LOCALE

hope you guyes at microsoft change it FAST

you are not alone with it. I belive Microsoft will improve the firmware in the future. Maybe this feature will come in one of the next updates.

There are many posts with this feature on the whishlist and i belive, Microsoft will notice it.

 

Basically just give us back the same functionality we had with our damn 360's would be nice.

OR allow us to legally VPN to a locale that actually works for us. I would be happy to switch to English/UK and VPN if that was OFFICIALLY allowed.

 

I agree, we are English speaking but live in Europe and would like to pay in Euros.

We have grandparents who buy Microsoft cards in pounds and also in Europe we buy euro cards.

Why can't we have English language and pay how we like without being told sorry your currency is wrong.

So long as it is the net equivelant, what does it matter.

We want the flexibility to set how we like.

Come on Microsoft please make it happen it cant be too hard!! I wanna use Euro and Germany as country but I still want my Games etc. in English and no bad german dubbed versions!

for one vpns are not legal except for privatizing your info

for bypassing international laws to view content you aren't supposed to no that will never be legal

you just answered your own question

languages will always be set to the major language of your region

you adapt to your environment not the other way arouind

 

fyi one of the reasons for the language being connected to locale of an account is because of accents

voice commands are tethered to the region's major language

accents are different in every part of the world

 

To be honest, I never play my games in German. I like the english voice acting and text very much. I hope setting language and locale how I like it, will be possible in the very near future on xbox one. At least please give us the option to set the game
language manually in the console settings.

 

game language isn't set by your console settings though

every game 's language is set by the publisher of the game

very very rarely does games come with a built in menu to alloiw language change

 

still nothing takes away the fact that 70 percent of my country speak dutch and you guys at michrosoft think we speak french here so result now i cant even understand what i need to do in wolfenstein to get the archievements because they are in french
while the game is englisch

BIG TIP FOR MICROSOFT IN BELGIUM WE SPEAK DUTCH SAME AS THE NETHERLANDS 70 PERCENT OF ALL THE CITIZENS OF MY COUNTRY DOESNT EVEN UNDERSTAND A WORD FRENCH SO SEE OUR PROBLEM HERE KIND OF A BIG ONE

I have the same problem here, my achievements are mentioned in French dispite my XO is in English.

Even on the XO Smartglass App they are in French, but the app itself is allready in Dutch.

I hope these inconvenients will disappear once XO support is available in Belgium.

About the French Achievements, I live in the Flanders and I, like most of the Flemish, don't have a problem to understand them.





Concerning the language/regio settings.

I think you should be able to choose your language freely, dispite whatever regio you selected, or at least choose the language of your games.

Now a lot of games use your Xbox language, without any option to change this.

So Microsoft, please listen to your community and let us choose freely the language for XO/games.

 

Same problem here...I live in Switzerland, moved from the U.S. and started a new account as content is different here than in the U.S. Now I only get to watch movies in French or German, everything is dubbed, achievements show up in German etc. I cant think
of a single reason why at least achievements can not be shown in English, and I am sure there is a market in Switzerland where even movies on TV are shown in their original version.

I would upgrade my 360 if there were hope that MS is going to change the language mess....
