Changes to Xbox Enforcement

The Xbox Enforcement system is a good idea but has horrible flaws. It lets the same players that they are trying to prevent, uncontrollably spam reports on decent players. I had no knowledge of this system until I received my first communication ban today
after going 35-3 in a TDM another player continued to talk in chat running his mouth. My message to him consisted of "shut up, nice score" because he was very negative. I'm beyond pissed that I am now banned for a day because the player that was cursing up
a storm in chat got me banned off a simple message. Stupid. Get rid of this dumb system.

One thing that we're maybe forgetting...

Why do you think the xbox one has mandatory checks on games within 24hours and Sony doesn't? It's blatantly obvious Sony won't enforce the same level DRM as the xbox one.

Have you seen the "Enforcement United" programme too? Community moderators, whose reviews presumably carry more weight than your average member.

Spam reports do not work.

In fact anyone spamming the report feature will get suspended for abuse of the reporting system.

 

Will I get banned just because I received complaints?
No. A common misconception is that a certain number of reports will result in an automatic suspension. According to the myth, even if you haven’t done anything wrong someone can get you suspended by encouraging players to file many complaints. This is completely
untrue.

XBLPET investigates complaints and takes each report into consideration when making an enforcement decision, but a certain volume or frequency of complaints doesn’t guarantee a suspension. We take an evidence-based approach to enforcement
and take numerous factors into account when considering issuing a suspension. The context around the content or activity is particularly essential and drives our decision-making process. Simply put, there is no magic formula that instantly results in a suspension.

Despite what some may claim, XBLPET will never ever ban anyone “for no reason”. Suspensions
always occur as a result of a specific Code of Conduct violation.
