Discus and support changes to account security/login on 360? in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; how come now when i get on my 360, i have to sign in when i first get on... then when i go to play a game, it signs me out and i have to sign in...     how come now when i get on my 360, i have to sign in when i first get on... then when i go to play a game, it signs me out and i have to sign in again... then when i leave the game to go back to the dashboard, it signs me out and i have to sign in AGAIN?????
    is this how it is supposed to be cause if so it is really annoying... It just started doing this a couple days ago after it made me put in my email and password to verify my account on my 360...

    In order to change the secret question on your account you should do the following:



    1. Login to Outlook.com - Microsoft free personal email
    2. Under "Account Security" you will see two options "Password" and "Security Info". Beside "Security Info you will see the word "Manage" click that.
    3. You will then see "Security Question" beside your question you should see "Change" click "Change"
    4. There you will be able to change your secret question on your account.

    Unless you had someone login to your account then changing your email password would be the only thing you need to do. Did they access your XBOX account? Also would be a very good idea to change your XBOX live password and add the security proofs to your
    account. I have mine set to text me a code in the event someone would ever request a password change to my xbox account.

    try the following steps, it should fix this issue.

    1. Check
    account.live.com/.../manage     to see if security proofs are setup and verified.

    Optional: If you have set up two step verification, be sure to check this link: No Prompt For Security Code | Xbox 360

    2. Delete your profile from the console, be sure to delete only the profile, to do so check this link:

    support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete

    3. Clear the console cache, see this link for the how to:
    support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

    4. Turn the console off.

    5. Turn the console on.

    6. Clear the console cache one more time

    7. Redownload your profile.(See the same link as 2.)

    Help please solve the problem with gamertag

    For the sake of account security, I changed the account login and after that I inadvertently changed the gamertag to another one and now when I start the games I get an error.
    What do you mean you "inadvertently changed the Gamertag"? Did you by accident create a new Microsoft Account instead of changing the sign in alias of your existing account? Because changing the Gamertag can only be done on a specific website or on the console
    and will cost you the equivalent of about 10 US$.

    As for account security: The only way to make your account secure is by enabling Two Step Verification on

    https://account.live.com/Proofs/Manage    .

    Changing a login name is simply "Security through obscurity", and is not a method to make something secure.

    The only way this other person can access your account is if you give out your login details to them.

    You would be best reporting the player for these messages.

    If you don't feel your account is secure then you can change your login password and security information via account.microsoft.com

    Xbox account was accidently created as a child account many years ago, and the only account to change these setting got banned.

    In order to change this you'll have to login to the parent Microsoft account in order to change the restrictions on your account. Helpful information can be found here.
