Changes Inbound - New Forums, New UK Moderator

Hey all!

A few things happened in September that you may or may not have seen: I became a forum moderator and it was announced that we're getting a long-overdue forums upgrade. (Those two things are definitely unrelated.)

If you're wondering who I am it may be because I've not been a permanent fixture in the UK section. I've posted here sporadically in the past but mainly I've been in the Support and Ambassador sections. As currently the only UK-based moderator, I'll definitely
be here more going forward but I'm not here to interfere. This has always been a good section of the forums for discussions. As always, if you need to report a post you can do so by hitting 'Report' on the post and then one of the other forum mods or I will
see that. If you have any other questions or broader concerns you can PM me by hitting the envelope below this or any of my other posts. (Edit: On the new platform, this sends a Live Message rather than a Forum PM.)



And now, onto the more exciting news: new forums!



This has been posted elsewhere on the forums so you may have already seen the news if you frequent other sections, but if not I wanted to highlight it here.

In the near future, we'll be getting a total forum update. It's more of an overhaul, in truth. We've essentially had the same forums since about 2011 and the time has come to update them in a big way. I can't say more than what's in Mister Cerb's announcement
post or the
Community Blog entry, but if you want a sneak peek the Blog post does have a screenshot (about halfway down the page).

Update: the time has come.



The new forums are live now (obviously) and while they're not perfect immediately, and it will take some time to adjust to this change, these forums are going to grow to be much better than our old forums.

UK Forum Changes [Updated]

Hello forum users!



Okay, so there are a few changes coming to the UK forums within the next week. What we have at the moment are 7 Forum sections in the UK and we plan to change that around based on what you guys like to talk about. We are going to be kissing goodbye to some
of the less used sections and bringing in some new sections so that you all have more relevant places to move between.

UK Clans Forum - Forum (Staying)

UK Football Forum - Forum (Going)

UK Friends Forum - Forum (Going)

UK General Xbox Discussion - Forum (Staying)

UK Xbox Game Discussion - Forum (Staying)

UK Xbox LIVE Forum - Forum (Going)



Now don't panic! The sections that are being deleted will be replaced with an all in one "Uk Community Chatter" forum section. So think of it more like a merge with a fresh start, if you like. On top of this, we will be deleting the huge Xbox One sticky
and creating a new "UK Xbox One General Discussion" for you all to take over with your awesome topics rather than be stuck to one thread. This is how things should look once the changes take effect.
