The Xbox was first set up on a different TV. Both TVs are widescreen but the old one was a little bigger. Now part of the picture is running off both the top and bottom of my new screen. How can I fix it? I tried to switch the setting from widescreen to
normal and back, but that didn't help. Any ideas?

    :)

Hey mate, so is this on a particular game or just on the dashboard?

    -

If it's a certain game I would be going into the options, then display settings and seeing if you can adjust the screen size through there.

    -

If it's the dashboard itself I can only suggest going through the support article for display settings and as a last resort you can try retting the display settings and then setting them again to see if you have any luck:

Try the instructions for resetting your display settings here:

    support.xbox.com/.../image-on-your-tv-is-unclear

    Specifically:

Remove any discs from the disc tray.

    Turn off the console.

Turn on the console (using the controller for player 1)

As the console starts, on the controller, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console automatically restarts.

At this point, you can go into the System settings and reset your display settings.

Plug Xbox One into Component on TV

I have a Sony 57" CRT rear project HD TV. Model number: KP-57HW40 or KP57HS40. Suports Resolutions of 1080i, 720P, 720i & 480P. I have the HDMI out from Xbox One to TV passing through an HDMI to Component + left & right audio to the TV. The problem is that
the picture does not fit on my screen (I am missing the left 3-4" of my display. In the Xbox One settings I have switched to DVI, HDMI and HDMI (auto detect). And it doesn't matter if I switch it to 480P resolution on the xbox output which my TV does support,
the picture still does not fit on my tv screen. Now please keep in mind that all my other sources DVD players, cable boxes and other gaming consoles fit my tv screen just fine. I understand this is a known Xbox One issue and Microsoft is aware of this. Can
you confirm this is a known issue and do you know of an ETA on when there will be a fix for this ?

    Xbox One Chat Supports answer:

What we got is that the issue we are having right now is a limitation on your TV since it does not have a direct HDMI input. We would appreciate it though if you can leave a feedback on our website so that our Xbox team can do some enhancements concerning
    this issue as well.

    Overscan

Other than manually changing the video bounds settings on your TV, most games will allow you to change screen bounds as well. On start up of most games for the first time and somewhere in the video/graphics setting of whatever game or app you may be on
you can change the settings to better fit your TV. The first thing a user should always do is mess with their audio and video settings in order to find out what settings they like. You should take note that not all games and app actually support changing the
    screen bounds for some reason...
