Changed to Adult account but still can't buy anything (one solution of many)

Recently i've had an issue with my xbox account. When I first made an account, I was a child. But when I got older I changed my account to adult and deleted the old adult account , but the settings wouldn't change when i transferred to an Xbox one. In the
end, after much searching through the forum, i thought my issue would never be resolved because all the solutions wouldn't work. But now I figured it out:

Step one:

- Go on the xbox website and Sign in.

Step two:

- Click on Profile and then onto Privacy Settings.

Step three:

- Click Xbox One Online Safety.

Step 4:

- Change all settings to allow and then save.

It's that easy. I can't believe I didn't think about it. Makes me feel silly. Hopefully it will work. But if it doesn't then i'm very sorry.

account not permitted to download content with a certain rating?

i download dragon age 2 on the website and im on a family plan and i can't download dragon age 2. so my boyfriend, he's the one with the head of the family plan changed me to the adult plan, and still i can't download. so he changed all the setting and still
can't download. but im an adult. why can't i download dragon age 2 for my in game item. but on was on a child's account thing first before my boyfriend changed my account to adult. i didn't even knew i was on a child's account.

Promoting a Child Account to an Adult Account

Hi, I'm trying to manually promote my child account into an adult account but the solution listed here: Xbox One : Family is
not working for me. I changed my date of birth in the personal info section on Microsoft.com so that it would be considered an adult, but it's still treated like a child's account. For example, whenever I try to change my privacy settings, it tells me to change
them with an adult account. Is there anything I can do to promote my account to an adult? Thanks!

I can't change anything if the child account doesn't appear while logged in on the adult account

so with this account i can't buy anything from microsoft because my billing is wrong and it's not possible to change it, and solution is to create complete new account !..

This is unbelievable.

I recently got an xbox one and transferred my account from my 360 to the xbox one and that was fine, however I cant purchase anything because it says that an adult has put a privacy restriction on my account, and on my 360 I could buy things at will. I tried
to change my settings but it wont let me without an adult account, and I dont have an adult account on any xbox, so how do I change my privacy settings??
