Changed resolution, now stuck on black screen

I changed the xbox one's resolution to 1080p and forgot my TV only supports 1080I. So now when I start up my console it's just a black screen. I've tried leaving it unplugged for hours, doing a hard reset, unplugging and holding down power button while plugging
power back in but nothing's worked. On PS3 there was at least a way to reboot to default settings, and on 360 it would ask if you could see the picture, but on this "next generation" console there's no such thing...

Mistake

I was just searching something in display settings and I by mistake changed my resolution to 1440p but my TV is only 1080p max. So now anytime I want to play it shows me 'invalid Format' and I can't do anything. I tried to change
it by ear (sounds 'n' stuff) but I couldn't find display settings. Now i’m stuck with a black screen. Help please

I have a blank screen on my xbox does it auto detect the the tv resolution. First it was stuck on xbox one screen tried to fix that but now I have a blank screen.

 

After msging a friend through smart glass he told me I had to hold down power&eject button to fix it, it took me 30 mins of trying this for it to work. I kept having to turn off console, then press&hold eject at EXACTLY the same time for 15-30 seconds with
no additional beep (other than the one that it makes when you hit power) after the 100th try it worked after doing the EXACT same thing repeatedly. Some sort of consistency with the reset settings method would've been nice. But I guess that's just the millionth
thing wrong with being X-Boned.

 

Sorry you encounter this. People have had this resolved by hard reset/power cycle, but as you tried that i dont know why it didnt work.

Button resets on any device can be a tricky timing problem, so i feel your frustration there.
