    hi there, I recently changed my gamertag (for the first time therefore for free) on my windows 10 pc which is linked to my xbox one (same account) and now the backward compatible game namely burnout which i downloaded as a free game with gold wont let me
    run it online - i can get the game working but it doesnt save my progress nor can i challenge online times/etc any idea how i can solve this please

    XBL Gamer Tag Change: Not Appearing in Parties

    I changed my gamertag over a week ago and my friends tell me that in Xbox Live parties my old gamertag still appears. I though that it would have changed by now; why has it not changed? Will it ever change?

    Note: My gamertag has changed in-game, on my profile, in parties (but only on my screen), and on my friends' friends list. The only issue is people in parties with me view my old gamertag.

    i log on xbox.com on my laptop i change my gamertag buy a gold one month membership/800microsoft points it goes all good changed my gamertag to

    then I turn on my xbox i change my profiles to see if the name of the profile i bought gold had change and it was still the old gamer tag it wasnt now i tryed login on it and it wont let me. it saids i need to recover it?!?!?!?! i just changed the
    gamertag i need help i just wasted 20$ on the month and ms points

    Redownloading your profile (using the 360 menu) should fix this issue.

    Redownloading your profile (using the 360 menu) should fix this issue.

    You need to make a new gamertag, not change it since the ban will transfer over to the changed one. Sorry that that happened to you but you are not the only one who has been wrongfully reset.

    Soon that game will no longer be playable on the servers as it is getting older, most the time i get on it it wont even find a game.

    DirectX12 isn't going to make the older games look or run any better. This is because those older games wont have been written for DX12, but rather an earlier version. Those older games will still require that older version be there.

    Similar situation to the PC. Despite me running Dragon Age: Inquisition which uses DirectX 11, I still need to have Direct X 9c installed for Dragon Age: Origins.

    You are likely to see some better looking games with DX12 but that also has the potential to drive up hardware requirements.
