changed gamertag on xbox one. xbox 360 games wont work now

This is by far the biggest slap in the face microsoft has put down yet. For all the promises of backwards compatable gaming; and all the years that i have paid to play online nothing made me more angry to see the fact that the 100+ games i own wont save
anymore because of a gamertag name change. My old gamertag from xbox 360; Distinctgiant still pops up and automatically as soon as i enter a 360 game im disconnected from the internet. On xbox one my gamertag is the same as this profile. But when i go to fix
the problem online do you think i could get ahold of someone...? Of course not because of your garbage ai virtual agent keeps redirecting me back to itself. And when insay garbage i mean garbage. Will someone from the actual microsoft team contact me please
before you lose yet another customer for lack of support.

Not really too sure what the issue is. I changed my gamertag several months back and having seen your post, went to check it out. Mine are slow to come up but it does eventually come on signed in with my new gamertag.

I am not sure if this will help but try removing your profile, fully shutting down the console, unplugging for 30 seconds. Then plug in power up and add your profile back.

Of course there is. On Xbox One Go into settings - system - storage, then clear local xbox 360 storage, don't worry, all saves are stored in the cloud. Then once you removed the xbox 360 storage. Start a xbox 360 game, and it will want to download your
profile, let it, and it should download your profile with your new gamertag.

Im on xbox one trying to use the 360 games. I dont know how even if there is an option.

Hello Max,

Sorry for the issues you are having at the moment. You can request a call back and speak with a support agent. I have a little guide set up for traversing the set up for requesting a call.

When you go to
Contact Us to get it to request a callback follow these steps:

Step 1 ----select Xbox One
Step 2 ----select see other options then subscription changes
Step 3-----select show contact options
Step 4 ----select request a call from support

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option. Unfortunately, no support agent will be able to contact
you from the forums.
